RESIDENT STUDENT ASSOCIATION

The Resident Student Association (RSA) encourages student growth and development through building skills in the areas of leadership, organization, networking, and communication. RSA is structured to create channels for residential students to provide feedback on policies, procedures, and initiatives that affect the residential experience. Additionally, RSA provides programs and initiatives geared toward the needs and growth of residential students. WHO CAN JOIN?
Any resident who lives in FAU Housing is a member of RSA and their residence hall’s Community Council. Each governing body has elected officials who serve as representatives of their hall. The RSA Executive Board governs the CCs and serves as the official representative of residential students.


COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Each Community Council is advised by Housing and Residential Education graduate and/or professional staff members. RSA is comprised of the following Community Councils:

  • Atlantic Park Towers (APT)
  • Apartments Community Council (UVA)
  • Heritage Park Community Council (HPT)
  • Glades Community Council (GPT)
  • Towers Community Council (IRT)
  • Innovation Village Community Council (ICC)
  • Parliament Hall Community Council

Additionally, each Community Council is made up of the following Executive Board positions:

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Secretary/TreasurerPublicity Director
  • Hall Representatives
  • Floor Representatives

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is a leadership organization comprised of the Top 1% of FAU residential student leaders who embody the NRHH core values of recognition and service. To be considered for induction into NRHH, applicants must have high academic achievement, leadership experience, passion for community service, and a desire to recognize others.

NRHH is made up of the following Executive Board positions:

  • VP of Recognition
  • VP of Administration
  • VP of Service
  • VP of Recruitment
  • VP of Community Outreach
